Last Semester

This is most of what I did last semester.

My Portfolio inside.

And outside.

Book cover assignment for Three Cups of Tea. This is the back cover.

And this one is the front. Both covers are made with acrylic, gouache, pencil, ink, fabric, and flowers.

Here's an oil painting of grass and grass flowers. I plan on redoing this one during the summer.

Another oil painting, I plan on redoing this one too. It's an infant's grave with grass growing taller than it.
This was an editorial assignment. It's gouache, watercolor, acrylic, pencil, ink, tar, and eggshell.

Jill of the Jungle

For my Projects in Illustration class, we picked a video game and did whatever we wanted with it, so I did concept art. I chose an old DOS game called Jill of the Jungle. Basically, it's a blond babe fighting her way through a jungle. The game had no story whatsoever, so I wrote a story and made other characters from there. This is the main character Jill. I made her more tribal like than from her original design of a green bathing suit and combat boots, this one seems more logical. That, and in the story, I made it so that she could keep her blond hair by having a tribal mother and western scientist dad.

Anyway, I'm redoing as many projects as I can for this class, but if I can't get to them all, I won't be too sad not to redo this one even though there are many things I can do to improve this.

Quick Plein Aire

I've been pretty productive, I just don't have too much to show for it right now. Here's a quick 5'' x 7'' plein aire that I did. It's a little blurry and shiny in the photo.

Oh, and of my 5'' x 5'' series, I got my broken cookie piece into the Anderson Gallery, and my broken herb and broken sewing supplies in the online exhibition on the CA website. :)

Clay Success...?

I swear if I had a better camera this would look a lot better. This project definitely took the wind out of my sails though, I spent forever on it and all I want to do is slack off now...

I used polymer clay, modeling clay, yarn, felt, buttons, gouache, acrylic, bristol, cardboard, wire, and GLITTER!!
